Master call maker and guide Ron Clough is the Hunt Manager for "Ransome's Chesapeake Retreat" on Maryland's Eastern Shore. This very remote and private property is a hunter's PARADISE! Situated right on the Chesapeake Bay - 3 seperate tracts of land equalling nearly 1,000 acres - pristine and never before commercially hunted.

Manicured entirely for wildlife and full of Wild Turkey, Waterfowl and the rare elusive - Sika deer. Sika deer were brought into this area and released into the huge marsh meadows over 50 years ago. A member of the Elk family and approx 60% the size of whitetails. They "BUGLE" very much like the Elk and the stags are a prized trophy for your wall. The property has over 30 deer stands from 40 ft tall overlooking the marshes to ground blinds. All shooting lanes are planted with clover for the deer and numerous chufa plots for the turkeys!

We like to take "groups" of deer hunters 3-6 so you can have the property pretty much to yourself. Turkey hunts are 1 on one guided. The waterfowl hunting can run from flooded planted pond shooting for puddle ducks and geese to bayshore diver duck shooting. Feel free to call Ron to disscuss any hunts you might wish to pursue. Of course the lodging is AWESOME as well - complete with it's own hot tub and pool!
